No, it doesn't taste like broccoli; it taste fruity with just a hint of vegetables but it's certainly better tasting than V8. It is NOT a pretty color for a drink -- it's dark green.
It is very tasty and a terrific boost for anyone who can't always eat right. This is a terrific product.
Meanwhile it is tasty and very fruity -- anyone who has reviewed this saying it's not tasty must be drinking something else. It has only one issue -- it doesn't mix quickly and sometimes leaves undissolved chunks in your water.
To me this isn't such a bad thing -- I think it means the product isn't so adulterated that it dissolves instantly. but, then again, so is broccoli.
I highly recommend this product and this vendor got it to me quickly.
Now i know greens to go doesn't advertise it as a fiber drink, more of an antioxidant drink and I know there are a lot more ingredients in the greens to go product so i'll leave the rating at 5 as it includes all the latest buzz ingredients, acai, acerola, pomegranate, barley, green/white tea, aloe, and many others. Mainly they are barley green based and can taste literally like ground hay, if you can imagine that. I've actually tried many brands of green drinks. If you're looking just for barley green the aojiru brand is the best. But this greens to go blend apple/melon actually tastes pretty good, and i like the fact that they use stevia, a non chemical, natural sweetener. The only thing that would make me reduce it to 4 stars is, for a green drink it really doesn't have any fiber, most of the japanese green drinks have more fiber plus they are slightly cheaper, about 90 cents a packet vs about 1.17 per packet. This greens to go product tastes great, compare it to jamba juice's shot of green juice and tell me with a straight face which one taste better. I'm taking it primarly to help with inflammation of joints from gout and it seems to be helping relieve some of the pain.
Greens To Go was not something I would have initially bought on my own. It was given to me and honestly, within a few days I felt a difference in my energy levels. Take that with some daily supplements along with a coenzyme q10 (Q-Gel is what I take) and you'll feel completely energized.
This review is for both "Greens to Go" and "Go Greens" from To Go Brands.[.].My rating of 4 stars comes from two factors - the ingredients and nutrition, and the taste.Five stars for a product with certified organic ingredients, great antioxidants, and no artificial flavors or colors. While they are both plant-based sweeteners, they taste artificial to me. I mix it with a smaller quantity of water and drink it in a few gulps, then have something else to eat. Natural green looks better than food dyes to me. I was hoping for a product that I could mix into smoothies for my children that they wouldn't notice. These packets are convenient to carry, and mix easily into a bottle of water.Three stars for taste. It is only 32 calories. And the taste remains in my mouth for some time.
The overall flavor seems OK to me, not great. But I don't like the after-taste that xylitol and stevia have. I would prefer to have sugar as the sweetener, and the added calories. This is too strong a flavor to disguise.
The product was sent quickly, but packed very poorly and arrived crushed and almost unusable.
